1. Special Event – Japanese Festival I

Featuring the premiere of Kaze no Yume (Dream of the Wind) for sho, hichiriki, ryuteki, computer, and video by Pacific Professor Robert Coburn. This concert will also include the US premiere of video works by Shintaro Imai and animations from the Japanese independent animation collective CALF.

Traditional Japanese music performed by members of the Gagaku Trio: Ko Ishikawa, sho and voice, Hitomi Nakamura, hichiriki, and Chiaki Yagi, ryuteki and komabue.
